Instead of giving money to the Philippines
(which has just been hit by possibly the biggest storm ever)
why don’t we all
take one less long haul flight this year,
or insulate our houses,
or wear an extra layer indoors,
or grow our own food,
or drive less and take more buses or bikes, …
or ask the US military (the largest single consumer of energy in the world) to cut down a little?
Because unless and until we do, the next storm (wherever it hits) is going to be bigger. We all know that.
If your roof was leaking you’d get it fixed, before it caused more damage.
Why don’t we fix the root cause, instead of patching up the symptoms?
