Something I learned very quickly (about myself) on starting this blog is that I felt I needed to produce ‘an end result’, ‘an answer’, ‘a product’ quickly.
Given the scope of what I am and was hoping to achieve, this is completely unrealistic. And so I told myself that “a blog is a process, not a thing.” And “life is a journey, not a destination.”
But I am still not producing the results that I want to.
And yet the (internal) pressure to keep going, and to produce something worthwhile, is still there. Even though I’m not delivering it yet.
Then I remembered this short film, a talk by Ira Glass.
